I rescued my dog, Leo, from the shelter when he was three. He'd been through physical abuse before coming to me. While I was away for travel nursing, Leo bonded deeply with my dad. They'd play, snuggle, and go on adventures together. However, every time my dad came home, Leo would greet him excitedly but also pee on the floor. This was unusual for an adult dog. When I picked up Leo, my mom mentioned this behavior and suggested a trapped emotion might be at play. Using the Emotion Code®, we identified a feeling of "unworthiness" in Leo. It seemed he felt unworthy of the love my dad showered on him. After clearing this trapped emotion, Leo hasn't had an accident since.
